Full-Time Carpenter

We are looking for a qualified Carpenter for our construction division focused on commercial construction projects. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. A carpenter is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products.

Compensation:

$30 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Check existing sketches and blueprints to understand project requirements

  • Calculate, shape, cut, and smooth materials

  • Confirm flooring, roofing, and drywall are level and compatible

  • Fabricate rafters, partitions, stairways, and window and door frames

  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and fix structures

  • Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work in a commercial setting

  • Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and other team members to ensure efficient and high-quality work

  • Take ownership of tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines

  • Follow blueprints and specifications accurately, paying close attention to detail

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Ensure all work adheres to building codes and safety standards

  • Build window frames, doors, and frame commercial buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items

  • Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them where designated

  • Lay flooring, roofing, or drywall, ensuring they are leveled and compatible.

  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

 

Qualifications:

  • We prefer if you have a high school diploma or GED

  • Proficient in carpentry tools, techniques, and materials

  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Candidate must have successfully completed a carpentry apprenticeship

  • Strong measuring and math skills required

  • Proven experience as a carpenter

  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials

  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction

  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)

  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings

  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times

  • Good knowledge of English

  • Good understanding of basic math

  • Good physical condition and endurance

  • High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required
